BIM Modelling Services
What is Building Information Modelling?
Building Information Modelling, or BIM Modelling, is quickly becoming the industry standard for construction projects. Not only does it provide a digital representation of a building project, but it also allows for a greater level of collaboration between design teams, architects, engineers and contractors within the design and build environment.
BIM gives us the ability to fully model your building or factory to varying levels of detail. Doors, windows, lighting, drainage, HVAC, utilities and facilities can all be designed and drawn so that:
Your building can be built: BIM is used to create designs and plans - ie steel infrastructure and concrete volumes.
It can be visualised: your workplace needs to be safe, it needs to be ergonomic and it needs to be efficient. BIM can be used in the planning stage for tasks such as reviewing an area for lighting, segregation of pedestrians and traffic, and the throughput of raw materials through the workplace.
How will BIM Modelling benefit you?
So, now you know what Building Information Modelling is, but how will it benefit you? Quite simply, the model-based approach improves the efficiency of your project. Leading to an increase in productivity, a reduction in overall time spent and, as a result, often significant cost savings for your business.
